The Fifth Grade Class of Resurrection Christian School, as leaders of their elementary school, have continued to have a heart to serve not only our RCS community, but their neighborhoods, community  and the world. As part of the focus of family, discipline, character, and growing in our understanding of the Great Commission, they wanted to end their year with an opportunity to give back to a few nonprofit organizations in our community and around the world! The fifth graders carefully chose these incredible organizations:  Life StoriesSpecial Olympics, and House of Hope, Orphanage in Guatemala. These students have been physically training for various races in our area and we had the idea, instead of using a race to end the year, we would partner with Sweetheart City Racing to create a fun and unique fundraising effort to support these amazing non-profits.

Their entire campus, preschool, elementary, middle, and high school came together on May 22 to run or walk for our Heartwork Project. Each participant had an opportunity to raise money for our nonprofits and have a fun day as a RCS family, running or walking together!

Life Stories would like to thank the Fifth Grade Class of the Resurrection Christian School and the RCS community for their hard work and generosity.  We were humbled to receive a donation of over $2,200 from this event.  Thank you!
