Step Into the Spotlight at Red Carpet Rodeo: Where Glamour Meets Purpose
There’s something powerful about stepping onto a red carpet – it signals that something important is about to happen. On Friday, April 17th, the red carpet will be rolled out for something incredibly meaningful: a community coming together to protect and care for our most vulnerable population.
As the Fundraising & Development Manager at Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy – and as someone who lives and cares deeply about this community – I would like to personally invite you to join us. The work that happens at Life Stories isn’t just the responsibility of one organization. Protecting children belongs to all of us. Our annual gala is one of the moments where our community comes together and shows that when our children need support, Weld County shows up.
Many people don’t realize how small our team is compared to the scale of the work. Life Stories operates two locations with just 12 staff members, serving more than 1,000 children and family members each year while covering all of Weld County – a county so large it could fit Rhode Island, Delaware, and Washington D.C. inside its borders. It’s an enormous responsibility, and one our team carries every single day, guided and supported by a dedicated board that helps us stay focused on our mission.

While this year’s Red Carpet Rodeo theme adds fun and flair, the reason we gather is much deeper. This gala is about coming together as a community to stand up for children in Weld County who need protection, healing, and hope. It’s about ensuring that when a child experiences abuse or neglect, there is a safe, caring place ready to support them every step of the way.
Even with the serious mission at the heart of it, the night itself will be full of energy, connection, and celebration. Moments like this allow us to gather, reflect, and recognize the impact we can make together. It’s an evening designed not just to have fun and raise funds, but to deepen our shared understanding of the vital role this community plays in protecting children. When you attend this gala, you’re not just buying a ticket. You are helping ensure that when a child in Weld County needs help, there is a place ready to receive them. A place that believes them. A place that helps them begin to heal.

Come walk the red carpet, come bask in the Hollywood spotlight, but most importantly, come stand with the children in our community who need us most.

Red Carpet Rodeo blends Hollywood Glamour with Western Charm – inspired by the golden era of classic Western films and the timeless presence of icons like John Wayne. You’ll see cowboy boots and hats, tailored suits or jackets, vintage dresses, fringe, velvet, denim, statement jewelry, and the sparkle of a Hollywood premiere set against the warmth of Western hospitality.
