Pulling Together for Youth: Breaking Clays, Building Hope

There is something special about an afternoon spent outdoors with friends, a little friendly competition, and a shared purpose that brings people together. That’s exactly what the Pull for Youth has become for our community.

 

On June 13, 2026, supporters will gather at Colorado Clays for the Pull for Youth, a fundraising event benefiting Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy and the children and families we serve. This annual event brings together community members, business partners, sponsors, donors, and volunteers for a day of camaraderie, fellowship, and fun, all while supporting a noble cause.

 

Every person who participates helps strengthen the safety net for children in our community who have experienced abuse, trauma, or violence.

 

At Life Stories, our mission is centered around providing hope, healing, and advocacy for children and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Through coordinated services, forensic interviews, victim advocacy, and collaboration with community partners, we work to ensure children are heard, protected, and supported in a safe and compassionate environment. The need for these services is real and ongoing. Families facing trauma often need immediate support, guidance, and resources to help navigate incredibly emotional situations. Events like the Pull for Youth directly support our ability to continue providing these critical services throughout our community.

 

One of the things we value most at Life Stories is creating a variety of opportunities for people to support our mission. We believe offering diverse fundraising events allows more people to engage in ways that are meaningful and enjoyable to them. Some supporters love formal galas and auctions, while others prefer outdoor sporting events, casual gatherings, or family-centered activities. By offering a variety of events throughout the year, we hope everyone can find a way to connect with and support our mission.

 

The Pull for Youth offers exactly that kind of experience. It provides a day filled with fun, camaraderie, laughter, and a little friendly competition. Whether participants are seasoned shooters or trying sporting clays for the first time, the atmosphere is welcoming, energetic, and community focused. Shooters of all skill levels are encouraged to participate, making the event accessible to both experienced marksmen and beginners alike. It is a chance to spend time outdoors, enjoy good company, and support a worthy cause all at the same time. Participants will have the chance to compete for coveted Top Shooter and Top Team honors, bringing an extra level of excitement to the course. Whether you’re chasing bragging rights, team glory, or simply looking to test your skills, the competition promises plenty of action, friendly rivalry, and memorable moments throughout the day.

 

Of course, one of the highlights each year is the incredible collection of prizes and raffle items generously donated by community partners. This year’s offerings include a shotgun, a half-day bird hunt for four at the exclusive Valhalla Hunt Club, and many other exciting prizes. The generosity of donors who contribute prizes, sponsorships, and experiences plays a tremendous role in the success of the event, and we are deeply grateful for their continued support.

 

Beyond the prizes and competition, what truly makes this event meaningful is the shared commitment to helping children and families in need. Every registration, sponsorship, raffle ticket, and donation helps ensure Life Stories can continue offering vital advocacy and support services to our community.

 

Community events like the Pull for Youth remind us that supporting children and families is a collective effort. When local businesses, volunteers, sponsors, board members, staff, and attendees come together, the impact extends far beyond a single day on the course. Together, we create a stronger, more compassionate community where children know they are valued, protected, and supported.
